When the people of Boulder City decided to restore the Boulder Dam Hotel in the mid 1990s, one of their objectives was to restore the building to prominence as a cultural hub for the town. Today, in addition to greeting guests from all over the world in our hotel and museum, we offer Boulder City nonprofit organizations a free place to have a meeting, host a political meet and greet, or hold an event. We also provide complimentary room nights to support fundraisers or accommodate event organizers.

2018 is the 14th year the Dam Short Film Festival has used the hotel to support its efforts to showcase the art of the short film. This year the hotel hosted a virtual reality exhibit (pictured above), a filmmakers' lounge, and a hospitality suite.

Also finding success from the complimentary use of the hotel is the American Association of University Women (AAUW). The AAUW use the hotel for their regular meetings, their twice-annual Wine and Chocolate Tasting, and their largest fundraiser, the Christmas Home Show Tour. For the home tour, the hotel decorates a hotel room for viewing, sells tickets, and sets up the lobby for their ticket sales and starting point for the tour.

Other nonprofit groups currently using hotel or museum facilities for their regular meetings include See Spot Run and the Boulder City Art Guild. In addition, political groups often host public meet-and-greets in the lobby to acquaint voters with the candidates. The hotel has hosted local, state, and even national politicians including democratic presidential candidate and former New Mexico Governor, Bill Richards.

Local nonprofits including Volunteers of America, Boulder City High School, Natural History Museum, Spread the Word, Toys for Tots, and Boulder City Hospital use complimentary hotel rooms as auction items for their fundraising efforts. We also provide complimentary rooms for the performers at Boulder City Chautauqua.

If you are a nonprofit seeking meeting/event space space or a room-night donation to your fundraiser, please contact the hotel front desk at 702-293-3510.
